how to make incense

www.tarottable.com make your own insense to add to the ambiance of your tarot readings, or just to make your house smell good. Check out the website for recipes and links to help you get started. Learn about mixing herbs, oils, and resins. www.tarottable.com In this example, i am using fresh herbs to make the incense. I usually don’t use alot of resins because they bother my sinuses. I stick to herbs and flowers and oils that il use regularly. If you have a garden, try drying your own flowers, like here i am using fresh lilacs from my garden. If you are wiccan or pagan, you probably know that the more energy you put into something, the more effective it will be. Making your own incense adds alot to ritual and spell work, because you are putting your own energy into the work. You can use different types of crushed crystals that correspond with the work you are doing, as well as herbs with specific magical properties. It is so much fun you guys! and you don’t need a huge store cupboard of materials to get started.

@killerkitty777 It does indeed depend on the way you work. In my books, the methods I mentioned are for cleansing and purification, if indeed you see those terms as being all that different.

@selenethewhitewolf I only asked about the earth (a plant pot, not the garden lol) because time and the sun and moon cycle work very well and not only cleanse a stone, but strengthen its ‘character’. Oils and others you mentioned are purification mainly.
it depends on the intended purpose (i work with spirits so i return it whence it came and let elements/planes cleanse it or bury the stone forever if dangerous) so I don’t know why I asked, its so subjective
to each their own as they say

@killerkitty777 There are a loads ways you can cleanse a stone completely, if burying it temporarily is right for you, then that’s what to do, provided you don’t lose it. Other ways can be:
Covering it in sea salt [make sure your stone won't be corroded by salt or water]
Washing it (with any kind of water,) as long as your intention is to cleanse it.Smudge it with sage
Anoint it with any purification oil (my current method)
I’d list more but I’m out of space in this comment!

@selenethewhitewolf what do you do to cleanse the re-used stone of its previously infused energy/
do you place it in earth for a few weeks?
just wondering because re-using an empowerd stone sounds a bit iffy if it is not cleansed properly.

Absolutely, It is very important for us all to find what works for us and brings us the best results. After all there is no one right way.

Hey – I use stones in oils powders and other spells too. Some stones I keep small pieces of just for adding in a once-off spell.
I just can’t get my head around smashing them up, I mean, if I put a stone in to a solstice spell, and then decide to take it out later because of the energy/association that it has picked up, if it’s a whole stone, I can do it. If it’s been crushed completely… there’s no going back.

Thank you for the comments:)
Actually you’ll find that it is very common to use stones and crystals with specific properties for incense intended for spell or meditative use. Specifically here, I’ve added quartz because this is a lucid dream mixture, and quartz is very useful in astral projection, and the separation of physical and spiritual consciousness.

Sorry for double commenting, but also, and far more importantly…
Did it occur to you that using a blow torch THAT close to a table cloth would be even a teensy bit dangerous?
Dare I say, even dumb…?
I’m not tryin’ to bash you honey, but my ‘alarm bells’ went off when I saw the torch’s flame go so close to the cloth.
Take care

SORRY, i just replied to the person who asked the question. As you probably know.. different crystals add energy and direction to spells and meditations.. This particular recipe called for quratz clear.. but for a love incense i would use rose qu. for psychic i would use purple…… and so on… The crystal also causes it to burn longer which is great for spells that require prolonged visualization and meditation. hope this helps

Cool. But you didn’t explain what the crushed quartz was used for. Nor why we would want to crush quartz. Please, please tell us…please.

I remember when me and my girlfriend was burning sage (relationship ritual of some kind, got it from a chinese wiseman) and we got the cops called on us because i left the window open by accident and the neighbors thought we were smoking marijuana (the smoke from sage is identical to that of marijuana). Luckily, the police officer knew it was just sage. Good times
Thanks for the video, i am doing this right now!

just a quick thought… if anyone else is hard up for herbs and oils or just starting out……. SAGE SAGE SAGE! beautiful effects on its own as far as relaxation, clarification, purification, concentration. just crush and burn my friends
and as you expand your herb cupboard … try mixing with a few drops of lavender.. some rose petals, lemon oil, cedar bark, chamomile or any combination there! GREAT FOR STUDYING
